Greetings and welcome to 60FPS’ World of Warcraft Section. Here you’ll find all sorts of nifty facts, pictures, and videos about Blizzard’s dominating MMO giant. Check out the about page to get a general idea of this section’s direction. In order to save my sanity the majority of my posts here will be in English which will allow me to post more often, I will however try to get translations done for those posts that I feel may be of interest to the spanish community as well.
To start off I’ll comment a little about my WoW career so far. I first started playing back in November 2004 when the game first came out in North America so I obviously purchased the North American version. After hopping around on alts and servers for a month or so I finally ended up on Feathermoon, an RP server. RP is short for RolePlay servers that are just like normal servers but have a stricter naming policy and players are encouraged to role play their characters although many people don’t. I played on this server somewhere close to a year where I made many friends and even led a small guild named Kamanima. It was a tiny casual guild which basically summed up only to be a chat for us players to talk to each other and do instances. Besides this server lacking serious end game guilds I wasn’t all too interested in going to the big time 40 man raids and spent most of my time doing PvP and Instances on my level 60 Troll Enhancement Shaman (my first 60).
Eventually out of boredom I started hopping around on alts and eventually made a level 60 Tauren Feral Druid on the same server and a level 60 Night Elf Balance/Resto Druid on Korgath PvP server. Leveling on a PvP server was an entirely different experience from the “care bear” RP realms… a veritable gankfest but it was fun. The guild situation on this server was entirely different too. The reason I leveled a druid there was that one of my best friends transfered there from Tichondrius and so I decided to try to level a character up there to do some raiding with him. A few top guilds are on this server such as Death and Taxes and I finally got my first taste of raiding in Molten Core and Ahn’Qiraj.
This whole time I was playing on the North American servers but living in Spain so the time zone difference was a killer on raiding schedules for me. I’d have to be awake at 3 in the morning in order raid with my guild on Korgath. This coupled with the added lag from the servers being far away finally convinced me to buy the European version of the game in the first quarter of 2006. Having liked the leveling experience I had on Korgath I decided to level up on a PvP server: Vek’Nilash, later to be home to Curse, SK-Gaming, and Sisu. My first character here was a Troll Shaman which I specced to Resto when I was level 60. After joining a guild it didn’t take long for me to realize I had potential to lead a raiding guild of my own and when the opportunity arose I took up the responsibility to lead a full time raiding guild.
The guild was named Reborn, it had normally 80-100+ members and enough activity to do the 40 man raid content. The experience as a whole was enjoyable but not without its drawbacks. Leading and organizing a raiding guild takes up alot of one’s time and between work and the guild I couldn’t take the stress anymore and I finally quit a couple months after The Burning Crusade was released after leveling my shaman and a Blood Elf Rogue to 70. This was the first time since 2004 I didn’t have my WoW account active, needless to say the period only lasted a month.
On reactivation of my account I decided not to get back into the raiding game and so went to an RP server again in hopes of a friendly and casual community similar to the one I had on Feathermoon. I found this on The Sha’tar where I began leveling a Draenei Paladin. However by the time my Paladin reached level 66 I realized that it wasn’t the class I was really looking for and rerolled a Gnome Warrior: Yiedra, the character I’m still currently using today. On the Sha’tar I was in a friendly casual raiding guild named Veni Vidi Vici whose focus was on Karazhan, Grull, Magtheriodon, etc… except for the odd day I went raiding with them I spent most of my time doing PvP and Arena with my partner in crime, Luar (Resto Shaman). This wraps us up to today, the expansion is about to be released and since PvP is what I enjoy most we decided to move to a PvP realm after Blizzard announced the possiblity to move from Normal, RP realms to PvP, RPPvP ones.
After doing some research, Shattered Hand seemed like a good choice. Not too full and in one of the most notorious of european battlegroups. A few days before the release of Wrath of the Lich King the transfer was complete. My plans are to eventually start a small casual PvP and 10 man raid guild. Something small enough where players can create a tight night core but big enough for us to casually do content without having to depend on members being on every waking hour of the day. This section of 60FPS’ is my legacy, my saga, my reflection about WoW and how it affects us and as well as some “ZOMG WHAT SHOULD I SPECC LOLZ?!” ^^
Thank you for reading my wall of text,
Yiedra

Beautiful history and memories
I’m impressed of your sense of time, how can you remember the year and even the exact month when you created characters etc etc?? hehe
D /slap slap
P
However you don’t have that good memory for the guild’s names since our first guild was named “Kamanima” and our las guild was named “Veni, vidi, vici”, famous sentence said by emperator Cayo Julio Cesar when he reached Britania for the first time
I hope we have as fun in the expansion
LOL whoops, fixed =oD
