It’s not quite level 80 yet but getting to level 60 was a huge achievement for me. Never have I gotten a priest to such a high level. Thank you heirlooms! At the time I write this I’m actually level 64, racing on as quickly as I can to 68 so I can go to Northrend. Funny, I rushed as much as I could to get to Outland and now that I’m there I don’t want to be anymore. The truth is I never really liked Outland that much, the scenery is too out there for my taste but the quests at least are well thought out and close together unlike the nightmare that is Azeroth. Deadlyblond
Alright so I’ve decided to share once every week a WoW movie I’ve seen that is either interesting, entertaining, or both. One day I’ll make my own, need to buy another 1T hard drive to fill up with Fraps recordings first. Anyway, I digress, the video I’d like to point out this week is called “Deadlyblond – Brutal janitor”. Unfortunately there isn’t a youtube video available or any other embedded format so you’ll have to go to www.warcraftmovies.com and check it out. I suggest downloading it if you got the bandwidth because the author made an awesome effort at making a high quality video, otherwise there are a couple HQ (High Quality) versions available for viewing. I recommend using Tortun, it can be a bit buggy but streams videos very nicely. Read the rest of this entry »

For all of you who haven’t checked out the 3.1.0 patch notes that Blizzard has revealed, please do so now. There are quite a few upcoming class changes that are very easily going to turn the PvE and especially the PvP scenes upside down. I’m not going to get into all the nitty gritty details in this post because like all test realm patch notes they’re not definitive yet but I feel the need to discuss the changes that have been going on and what will happen to Death Knights, Blizzard’s experimental monstrosity. WoW Census Data for classes at level 80 as of 22-02-2009
Months ago when Wrath of the Lich King first came out I made a post about the insane amount of Death Knights running amouk in Azeroth. After more than 3 months of the new expansion being out it’s safe to assume everyone who can, HAS made a Death Knight on their server or some other unfortunate server. The first week during WotLK Death Knight populations where ridiculous, anywhere between 20-25% of the overall population. Just like any new species brought into an ecosystem though nature finds a way to balance things out. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s been a week now since I started my twink project and I’m now level 44 at the time of writing this post. Not bad considering the amount of play time I get and that I also dedicate time to playing on my warrior and death knight as well. My experience post level 30 has been amazing, I can blaze through levels without any effort whatsoever and recently I’ve twinked my already twinked priest more with a shoulder enchant for my heirloom shoulders. That’s right folks, there’s a way to enchant your heirloom shoulders, there’s only one that works and it probably won’t be long before Blizzard “fixes” this issue. Read the rest of this entry »

 Ziedra Level 1
I finally let my alt-itis get the better of me and succumbed to buying a bunch of heirlooms in an attempt to level up a priest. I say “attempt” because this will be my oh… 4th or 5th time I try to level up a priest. Every time I’ve gotten somewhere between level 20 and 30 before I just couldn’t take it anymore and gave up but this time I have some help! So I bought the following for now at level 1:
Pretty amusing to have spell damage and haste at level 1. Regardless, my level 1 twinked priest still ran OOM after smiting a few boars, luckily my Blessed Hammer of Grace packs quite a melee punch. Melee priest huzzah! Read the rest of this entry »

Only a couple weeks after Patch 3.08 Blizzard releases their “Fix” Patch, 3.09. Nothing terribly new or huge is in this patch nor did it cause any huge issues like its predecessor did. Despite a few minor tweaks and bug fixes this patch didn’t break any huge waves, unless of course you’re a mage or rogue… Read the rest of this entry »

Patch 3.08 is finally here and with it plenty of balance changes and bug fixes! Although I’ve been looking at the developing patch notes every now and then I’m going to have to sit down to properly digest the changes done to Death Knights since they seem to be the class that has been affected the most. I’ll admit, the class was ridiculously overpowered and needed a good whack from the nerf hammer right in the gonads. For right now though I’ll give my thoughts and opinions on the changes affecting my other ‘MAIN’, my warrior. Read the rest of this entry »

Choices, choices, choices… the predicament that we all face in World of Warcraft. With so much to do and so little time to do it in? Why is there only 24 hours per day? Why can’t we play during maintenance hours? Well, for all you completists out there, Wrath of the Lich King may be your death sentence. Besides the addition of regular content such as instances, Blizzard has introduced a plethora of new mounts, crafted items, and quests. It also goes without saying that it’s all tied in nicely with the new achievements system. There are achievements for completing every quest in an area, for obtaining a certain amount of mounts, player vs. player combat, there are even achievements for killing 15 turkeys in 3 minutes! So after lunch today I try to log back on and what do I find to my surprise on this “Medium” populated server, it’s FULL! Granted, the wait was only 10 minutes but those where 10 minutes of Xiedra’s play time in Death Knight country, that’s right folks, DK Country in WoW. The queue is actually a good sign, it means many people are reactivating or buying new accounts and playing in mass. Read the rest of this entry »
