So, what’s the deal with Presences? When should I use Blood, Frost, or Unholy?
I’ve been asked this quite a few times so I thought I’d give a shot at clearing it up. Unlike warrior stances, using presences is a lot simpler for two reasons: (1) regardless of the presence you’re in you can use all of your abilities and (2) there is very little need to “presence” dance. So which presences do you use and when? To answer this we have to look at what roles a DK has, DPS, Tanking, and PvP… Read the rest of this entry »

It’s not quite level 80 yet but getting to level 60 was a huge achievement for me. Never have I gotten a priest to such a high level. Thank you heirlooms! At the time I write this I’m actually level 64, racing on as quickly as I can to 68 so I can go to Northrend. Funny, I rushed as much as I could to get to Outland and now that I’m there I don’t want to be anymore. The truth is I never really liked Outland that much, the scenery is too out there for my taste but the quests at least are well thought out and close together unlike the nightmare that is Azeroth. For all of you who haven’t checked out the 3.1.0 patch notes that Blizzard has revealed, please do so now. There are quite a few upcoming class changes that are very easily going to turn the PvE and especially the PvP scenes upside down. I’m not going to get into all the nitty gritty details in this post because like all test realm patch notes they’re not definitive yet but I feel the need to discuss the changes that have been going on and what will happen to Death Knights, Blizzard’s experimental monstrosity. It’s been a week now since I started my twink project and I’m now level 44 at the time of writing this post. Not bad considering the amount of play time I get and that I also dedicate time to playing on my warrior and death knight as well. My experience post level 30 has been amazing, I can blaze through levels without any effort whatsoever and recently I’ve twinked my already twinked priest more with a shoulder enchant for my heirloom shoulders. That’s right folks, there’s a way to enchant your heirloom shoulders, there’s only one that works and it probably won’t be long before Blizzard “fixes” this issue. Read the rest of this entry »

So last Friday I thought I’d try my luck and managed to get into a group for Obsidian Sanctum (Heroic) but alas we couldn’t find enough members and the group dissapated. No worries, another group for OS (Normal 10 man version) was asking for another tank so I figured, alright, I’ll go with them. Before you try to point the finger and call me a n00b keep in mind that i’ve NEVER been here on my warrior… Read the rest of this entry »

 Ziedra Level 1
I finally let my alt-itis get the better of me and succumbed to buying a bunch of heirlooms in an attempt to level up a priest. I say “attempt” because this will be my oh… 4th or 5th time I try to level up a priest. Every time I’ve gotten somewhere between level 20 and 30 before I just couldn’t take it anymore and gave up but this time I have some help! So I bought the following for now at level 1:
Pretty amusing to have spell damage and haste at level 1. Regardless, my level 1 twinked priest still ran OOM after smiting a few boars, luckily my Blessed Hammer of Grace packs quite a melee punch. Melee priest huzzah! Read the rest of this entry »

Ever wanted to level a shaman? This is your chance to ‘twink’ him from level 1 to 80 and with an experience bonus to boot! Heirlooms are a the dream come true to anyone suffering alt-itis. Granted, if you don’t have a character over level 70 getting these items may be difficult. Read the rest of this entry »

Choices, choices, choices… the predicament that we all face in World of Warcraft. With so much to do and so little time to do it in? Why is there only 24 hours per day? Why can’t we play during maintenance hours? Well, for all you completists out there, Wrath of the Lich King may be your death sentence. Besides the addition of regular content such as instances, Blizzard has introduced a plethora of new mounts, crafted items, and quests. It also goes without saying that it’s all tied in nicely with the new achievements system. There are achievements for completing every quest in an area, for obtaining a certain amount of mounts, player vs. player combat, there are even achievements for killing 15 turkeys in 3 minutes! I know I haven’t posted in a looong time but it’s only because I’ve been having to much fun enjoying the expansion. I’ve been collecting quite a few screenshots and have been playing around with all of my characters to get differenent perspectives of the new changes the classes have received. Enough of my excuses, this post is dedicated exclusively to my favourite heal-bot and partner in crime, Luar. All my awesome Arena epics on my warrior I owe thanks to her leet heals keeping my flimsy gnome warrior alive while I tried to hack away at giant Tauren Druids and elusive Rogues. Upon arriving back from work sometime around 2AM on the 14th I looked at my computer monitor just like a drug crazed junkie would salivate at the thought at getting their next fix. I feel I must admit that I’m hooked back to World of Warcraft with a burning desire only satiated by it’s icy cool Northrend content. Well instead of logging back onto my warrior I felt I had to try out the new class that I’ve never played before. Like most veterans, I’ve played every class at least up 50, which I believe is an essential part of knowing other classes well enough to tear them to pieces in PvP. To sum it all up I’ve come to like warrior the best, it’s probably one of the most solid and balanced classes in the game but I’ve always wanted to try out a caster class, the best I’ve done was a level 70 Elemental Shaman… Read the rest of this entry »
